Rail Buttons & Launch Lugs

Resin 3D printing is ideal for making strong, aerodynamic, and consistent rail buttons and launch lug mold templates. The buttons are suitable for rockets up to around 100lbs and the lugs better for the even heavier rockets. Many high power rockets use fasteners for attachment, that is completely unnecessary when bonding the following guides to well prepared fiberglass bodies with either epoxy or acrylic based adhesives.

Rail Button CAD for 2" 4" and 6" rockets respectively. Printed in Siraya Tech Build resin they haven't minded Mach 3 flight so far.

For larger rockets we printed mold templates and prepared silicone molds to cast polyurethane (Alumires RC3) rail lugs. These can be reinforced with fiberglass as needed.
