Custom Dremel Guards for Fin Preparation

The threaded front end of a Dremel allows you to design, print, and attach your own guards. We used a variety of rocket fin designs, and needed a simple way to make slots and chamfers in composite panels.

This tool used with an endmill style burr allows you to cut leading edge chamfers without veering off deep into the material. This guard is was designed in Fusion360 for its thread modeling tool and printed in resin for the high accuracy it offers.

This tool lets you slide the Dremel along a board with a cutoff wheel to make a slot.
